Lava XOLO A700 is a brilliant device. It is very fast, stable device and users are giving very nice responses of this Lava XOLO A700. Lava XOLO A700 comes with Yes, 1GHz Dual-core MediaTek MT6577 Processor which makes your Gaming, multitasking experience awesome. MediaTek is awesome chipset which makes device faster than other chipset. There, the camera has got multiple many features which are not in common devices Rear camera: 5.0 MP Camera (2592x1944 Pixels) with HDR, Auto Focus and LED Flash, Front : 0.3 MP, VGA Camera (640x480 Pixels), Self Timer, Touch Focus, High Dynamic Range. The Screen size and display is very nice: 4.5 inches, IPS LCD Capacitive Touchscreen, 16M Colors and the video playback is very impressive, i.e. 720p@30fps. It has some transparency issue....for ex in any app settings the text from previous page is visible below next page...so u can't see properly....can this be fixed??
yep...this can be fixed, you need to edit framework-res.apk...he had applied transparency code in styles.xml...

dude it is a very long guide...just replace framework-res.apk from stock 2 custom rom :D
i had made a backup before flashing xtrance...and saved it in sd card as a update.zip(206 mb) file....so now all i need to do is copy that framework-res.apk file from update.zip and replace in the xtrance.zip...right??

Hey dude can u please provide the stock rom for xolo a700....or a tutorial at least to make a flashable zip of the stock rom.
then goto backup and restore...select restore...it will show u the nandroid backup u took(hopefuly)....b4 u flashed the new rom....just select that backup and hit restore...that's it....now it will restore to earlier condition!

ANYone, yes You can CLaim warranty anytime...just say lava that i was using and it died...they r fool...they wont detect...lol i made my mmx 3+ times to service with rooted and with custom rom

just say them i am using that app which changes boot from the first day i bought...see try to make friend the service center guy...if u like hes frendly...say him to flash this device and he will flash if no then give to em..
i have uploaded...check in comments for link...extract the zip and put in sdcard/clockworkmod/backup
now reboot into cwm (power button + volume up) and select backup and restore..in that select restore....then u will see the nondroid backup...select yes

your recovery has some problem? just "8" mb backup? dude try ROMDUMP and then upload it....its wrong or you deleted system.img from it..still thanks for uploading
but that's the only stock backup I have...and i have restored my phone using it successfully....i have also taken 2 nandroid backups...from cwm...but there's no system.img in it....am i doing something wrong??.
Yes, your Clockworkmod recovery is wrong. Please you don't install ANY ROM now because every CWM makes backup of system.img!! which is really very important...mainly it only unbricks devices...ok anyway...it has boot.img which MAY fix problem of 2% people who flashed wrong boot!!

k...this is what i did know...i went into cwmr and changed the backup format to .tar
after that i did a backup again in internal sd card.
now my cwm/backup folder in internal sd has a 656.88 MB backup with the following files :
1)boot.img
2)cache.ext4.tar
3)cache.ext4.tar.a
4)data.ext4.tar
5)data.ext4.tar.a
6)nandroid.md5
7)recovery.img
8)system.ext4.tar
9)system.ext4.tar.a
is this the correct nandroid backup now??
yes...:) but one problem...why some having .a extensions of .tar.A ? btw, it is too big nandroid....can you tell me size of system.ext4.tar and sys .ext4.tar.a???

i have extracted the system.ext4.tar.a using 7zip...it has all the rom files
yes you are right, upload whole backup files...:) and before uploading, compress it with winzip...it will make nice compression..

Hold down power button + volume up for 2/3 seconds....u'll see xolo screen...then release the power+volume up....u'll boot into CWM recovery.

maybe u r not pressing the keys right....bcoz I had same problem..phone was restarting...then i tried volume up+power...ie hold volume button first then simultaneously power until u see recovery with blue text...i could get into recovery then and do a factory reset.

Rahul download an app called System app Remover.It successfully uninstalls inbuilt system apps you don't like::

i was just starting the mobilein recovery mode as usual by pressing volume up+power button..and it started automatically..i would suggest just keep trying ..also keep your battery fully charged..Best of luck dude:::
